After obtaining the MA degree in Marketing, Advertising and PR at CITY College, the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, five years ago, I have briefly worked in Greece. Foreign experience and theoretical knowledge in a number of case studies - where I was introduced to quite successful names from today’s corporations, and in the past small businesses that once followed the trends, and certainly the most successful that had taken the risk, served to me as a solid foundation in order to upgrade the practical work in the family construction company ADORA Engineering, where I managed to implement the international standards and trends. I had the opportunity to learn from experienced and mature professionals and managers, which was not easy, but it turned out to be very helpful and winning combination. The experience of working on a project in the field of public relations in an Austrian Foundation, where I learned a lot about social responsibility, showed me how it can be best implemented in Macedonia and in our company. With daily education and training, I am leading the marketing sector in ADORA Engineering to greater professionalism, with an emphasis on promotional advertising and media promotion, which involves all types of media.
At CITY College, the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, I was part of the postgraduate studies in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, where the title of my thesis was: "Promotional Strategies for SMEs in the Republic of Macedonia".
To all prospective students who want to be successful in learning and then in work, I'll suggest to take risks and not to be afraid of anything, because while we are young, we are allowed to do mistakes, and I believe that everyone has the right to try to realize his dream and there is no need to fear of failure. We can succeed with a good foundation gained from the studies and not being afraid to apply the world experiences to our job along with a positive thought and of course with work, work and only work...

Heaving in mind that I am a Law graduate, the knowledge acquired during the postgraduate studies at CITY College, The International Faculty of the University of Sheffield program in the period 2005-2006 had a key role in my professional development. Although I had previous working experience of 3 years, studying at CITY College, The International Faculty of Sheffield University contributed to acquire specific and practical knowledge in the field of marketing and management and to gain skills adapted to the market requirements, as well as the confidence to deal with higher managerial positions.
The possibility of first employment upon graduating came to me at the Career Fair organized by CITY College, The International Faculty of the University of Sheffield in the telecommunications company On.net at the position - Head of Public Relations, and only after one year I was promoted to Marketing and Public Relations Manager at the same company. Next I became the Marketing Director at ALSAT-M TV station, and then I opened my own marketing agency.
Since last year I am managing the Seavus Educational and Development Center, the daughter company of the international software company Seavus, and the knowledge I gained at CITY College, the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield helps me in designing the marketing strategy of the company which must be derived from business strategy of the company, but also in large part to contribute to its successful implementation.

The entire way of functioning of the University of Sheffield is focused on providing facilitated and quality education of the students. The place where I drew inspiration, and I gained the greatest benefits for further development of my career can be devoted to the quality of the studies provided at CITY College, The International Faculty of Sheffield University. I believe that the combination of the professors who were experts in their respective fields and the lecturers coming from the private sector, gave us broad perspective of how theories can be utilized in practice. The courses were exceptionally appealing to all of the students when the professors having international experience would have started the lecture with the phrase: “Let’s see how this concept applies in real life”.
In addition, the established educational system is characterized with another unique feature – it promotes freedom of thinking. The interactive form of teaching which was used as a method to stimulate discussion encouraged the students not only to think outside the settled theoretical restrictions, but also to determine opportunities for improvement in each field through critical assessments.

My name is Vladimir Hristov, 32, from Bitola, engaged as Key Account Manager in EVN Macedonia. I have total of nine years of work experience at Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining the EVN Macedonia, I have started my management career as Deputy Sales Manager at Bitola Brewery and later as Marketing Director of Heinemann-Makedonija.

I have joined the Executive MBA Program of CITY College, The International Faculty of Sheffield University at the Academic Year 2010/11 as a scholar of the Boris Trajkovski Scholarship Program funded by the President of The Republic of Macedonia.
During the course of the studies I realized the merits of the Faculty’s Executive Learning Platform. The program is fine-tuned, skillfully crafted in order to blend the up-to-date academic research findings with multiple real business case studies. Furthermore, what I found the most amazing is that I learned much more about my organization EVN Macedonia via elaborating and solving real business case situations from a different view prism: company’s operations, business and marketing strategy, corporate financial management, HR and talentship platform, brand management its logistics and supply chain……
The dedication at work and implementation of the knowledge in practice yielded with my appointment as Key Account Manager for the large industrial consumers in our country.
I am about to submit my Master’s Dissertation allocated within the field of the Electricity Market functioning in a de-regulated environment – on which a longitudinal qualitative survey is defined as a research method, something which has not done before on this specific market. I am grateful to the staff of the University for the generous support during the elaboration of the Thesis as well as for the all past experiences during the studies.
Final message to everyone: These academic programs provide excellent lecturers, applicative business case analysis, clear problem solving proposals and excellent database. Please consider your further education. You are aware that each business has its own destination. Yet at the Academy you will find out that the business itself is a journey much more important than the destination itself.

It implies the need of having not only the technical skills that I had already gained through my undergraduate degree, but at the same time practicing general and business competencies required for the successful development of the company. Therefore, the MBA program offered through the Managers Academy and the University of Sheffield raised interest for upgrading my skills for managing the company and going one step forward towards new knowledge and insights that would allow me to increase the level of understanding and apply different and even better approaches to business. According to a preliminary selection process by the general importer of SEAT in Macedonia - KA-DIS/ SEAT Macedonia, I was initially employed at the position of financial assistant for liquidation of claims and liabilities and appropriate setting of cash flow, right upon the completion of my Economic Studies with one year of work experience. I stayed at the initial position for less than a year. At the same time the implementation of a large investment project to build new showroom and SEAT service center in accordance with international standards took place, where provided my educational experience and intensive dedicated activities for its proper execution, I managed to advance to the position of Financial Manager, and thereafter to the position of CFO – which is my current job.
In order to gain educational and practical development in the field of Management (Strategic Management) and getting international experience and access to economic activities and challenges, I was exploring opportunities to apply for Postgraduate Studies/ MBA from International and world character, but in the proximity of my home - Macedonia. I found my concept fit only through the Managers Academy, which operates under the academic authority of the University of Sheffield and CITY College - the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield. I was initially attracted by that simple idea - an international education and experience near to my home.

I was born in Macedonia and I am Doctor of Stomatology from the School of Dentistry of University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.
I am representing myself as a founder and co-owner of CARDENA Care Ltd, a company which is the distributor of ELMEX and WATERPIK, products for oral hygiene wholesalers in Macedonia. Before the opening of CARDENA Care Ltd, I worked as a dentist and as a medical representative in one of the domestic cliniques established in the country.
